Volunteering

New Volunteers needed

Our charitable status has created many more opportunities for parents and supporters to be involved in the running of the charity. We are always in need of volunteers to help us with the expeditions. People who are keen on the outdoors and happy to work directly with young people are always warmly welcomed. Whether you are qualified or not we can make sure you access training to help in your role.
We now have other roles available for volunteers who have other skills such as experience in marketing and promoting our centre, people who can write funding applications to help support the group financially, people who can set up and mange a website etc. And many other roles.
If you feel you could be a volunteer in any capacity, please get in touch. It is only with the help of volunteers that the group can continue and grow for the benefit of all young people.

Benefits of volunteering.

Supporting the next generation

DofE allows volunteers to help young people grow, learn new skills and make a difference to their community.
Volunteers can support expeditions, training, administration or fundraising.
All volunteers who come in contact with young people will be subject to checks and training as per our Safeguarding policy.

Training

All volunteers who come in contact with young people will receive safeguarding training.
For those volunteers who are involved in the delivery of expeditions, you will be provided with first aid and countryside leaders training prior to leading a team.

Having Fun

We are a diverse but fun-loving bunch of volunteers who share a passion for helping young people and the countryside.
